A portion of the protected area is divided into three subzones:

  • Subzone A comprises the land area near Sermermiut.

  • Subzone B covers the inner marine section of the Ilulissat Icefjord.

  • Subzone C covers the outer marine section of the Ilulissat Icefjord.
