Travel in remote parts of Greenland – Expeditions and other activities

Applications for the 2027 expedition season will open in December 2026. Until then, the Expedition Office is updating the website, application forms, and requirements for the upcoming season. Applicants who need a decision earlier to meet the 12-week application deadline should contact the Expedition Office directly.

Important notice: Some website content may be outdated due to the system migration on 16 June 2026, and information published after mid-November 2025 is currently unavailable. We are working to restore content. Applications can still be submitted via the online system, and updated templates are available. Please also note that response times may be longer than usual due to a high number of applications.

The Joint Arctic Command has updated the email address used for certain expedition-related communication. The Expedition Office therefore draws attention to the new contact information and clarifies which notifications must still be sent directly to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC).
