Important update regarding email contact for the joint arctic command

The Expedition Office has experienced issues with the email address FKO-KTP-A-EKSPEDITIONER@fiin.dk, which is under the Joint Arctic Command. This email address has previously been used in connection with expedition-related notifications, including start and end notifications and certain coordination matters.

This email address has now been replaced. Where communication with the Joint Arctic Command requires involvement of the Expedition Office, the following email address must be used instead:

FKO-KTP-A-EKSPD@mil.dk

Please note that this does not change the existing procedures for notifying the rescue authorities. As before, the expedition leader must notify the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) at FKO-KTP-A-JRCC@fiin.dk, with FKO-KTP-A-EKSPD@mil.dk in copy, including submission of satellite phone numbers, MMSI numbers, PLB ID codes, and tracking links (e.g. Garmin InReach), where applicable.

We are updating our website and guidance material accordingly to ensure that the information is clear and accurate.
